This week, i Capital updates on Critical Holdings Berhad (CHB), a company listed on the Ace Market of Bursa Malaysia in Dec 2023.

CHB, a Mechanical, Electrical and Process utilities (MEP) facility solutions provider, has its principal place of business located in Penang and a service and support office located in Selangor. The Company has also secured a new office in the Johor region with efforts underway to secure another  in the central region. 

The business generates its revenue through 2 main operating segments: Engineering Solutions and Maintenance and Services. The key elements of plantroom and cleanroom design, in which CHB participates, are architecture and the Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) system. For data centres, the Company primarily handles the Design-Build or Bid-Build of the cooling segment. 

MEP Engineering Solutions

This segment comprises the design and construction, project management, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of MEP systems for newly-built critical facilities as well as the redevelopment, refurbishment, and upgrading of existing critical facilities. The Company is observing a rising demand for facility relayout and upgrades as semiconductor plants enhance capacity to meet market demand
