This week, i Capital updates on SAM Engineering & Equipment (M) Berhad (SAMEE), a contract manufacturer for the aerospace and equipment industries. SAMEE makes parts and equipment according to customer specifications at its facilities in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

SAMEE set a record in FY2024 with its total revenue and profit before tax (PBT) reaching RM1.5 bln and RM143.8 mln respectively. SAMEE’s aerospace segment turned the corner from a loss before tax of RM1.9 mln in FY2023 to a PBT of RM14.1 mln in FY2024. Despite the aviation industry facing supply chain constraints, SAMEE benefited from a broad-based surge in demand across all aircraft segments, spanning from single-aisle and twin-aisle commercial aircraft to business jets. The equipment segment recorded a revenue of RM1.07 bln despite the slight decline of 4.5% from its record high of FY2023.
